Here are the supplies needed:
- Wreath – one that is neutral and doesn’t reflect a partiular season
- Ribbons
- Pine Cones
- Burlap Leaves
- Floral Wire
- Gather supplies you already have at home to decorate with, such as florals and greenery.
- GATHER SUPPLIES- INCLUDE A NONSEASONAL WREATH SUCH AS BOXWOOD, STRAW, OR GRAPEVINE.
Once you have chosen your wreath, gather your supplies and lay them out.
- RIBBONS
I wanted the wreath to have a flowy whimsical look. So, I chose three ribbons and made long tails and a wider satin ribbon as the bow.
- ADD THE LONG TAILS TO THE WREATH
Attach the ribbon tails to the wreath. Use a piece of floral wire, string, or small pipe
piper cleaner. - MAKE THE BOW
Make a nice size bow using the wider ribbon, and attach the floral wire to the back of the bow.
- ATTACH THE BOW TO THE WREATH
Attach the bow to the wreath using the floral wire, then cut the ends of the ribbons at a slant for a finished look.
- ADDING DECORATIONS
I added burlap leaves to the side of the wreath and attached pinecones to the end of two long tails.
- ADDING DECORATIONS
I added a little moss to the top of the pinecone, where it was attached to the ribbon.
HERE IS THE FINISHED LOOK

FAQ
Any nonseasonal wreaths such as boxwood, straw, or grapevine wreaths. The object is to use the decorations to determine the season.
The best way is with floral wire because it is sturdy and will allow the decorations to be easily removed when it’s time to convert the wreath.
This is the fun part! Try and use what you already have, such as florals, greenery, and berries remembering to keep the ribbons neutral and build from there.
Make a small hoop from the floral wire, and attach it to the back of the wreath using more floral wire.
It’s that easy!
